FABRIC OF THE LANDSCAPE
For as long as people have inhabited Aotearoa New Zealand, timber & iron have been used as building materials - providing shelter, protection and comfort. Whether perfectly formed or cobbled together, patched and repurposed with found materials - simple, weathered, structures in our rural landscape capture nostalgia for life beyond the city. Over time nature too etches her influence - concealing pasts and revealing new possibilities.
